Duo causes ruckus at Lebanon hotel; man tells officers “F U” and “F the police”

30-year-old Mark Yurt and 53-year-old Sharyon Wells were charged with public intoxication after they screamed in their hotel room and were kicked out. Yurt was also charged with resisting arrest after he told officers “F U” and “F the police.”

On October 28th, Lebanon Police Officer Nicholson responded to a disturbance call from WoodSpring Suites, located at 205 South Eastgate Court. Upon arrival, Officer Nicholson made contact with Mark Yurt and Sharyn Wells, who were reported screaming from their hotel room.

The property manager, James Froggle, informed the police Yurt and Wells were no longer allowed to stay in their hotel room due to their contract stating no police involvement on the property. Both Yurt and Wells were reported to be extremely drunk, exhibiting red, watery eyes, were unsteady feet, and had a strong odor of alcohol from their breaths. Officer Nicholson stated when he attempted to arrest him, Yurt said “F U” and “F the police.”

Mark Yurt was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, public intoxication, and two counts of violating his probation. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,000 bond.

Sharyon Wells was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She was later released on her own recognizance.
